No. 17 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball is scheduled to begin play in the 2024 Sun Belt Conference Championship tournament on Thursday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Bobcat Softball Stadium San Marcos, Texas.

Need South AL to make it to the semis to get 3 sbc team into postseason

The “In the circle” podcast guys think we’re a host. They mentioned it’s a very weak year for hosts and FL State, Louisiana, Alabama (who finished 9th in the SEC and only won a single series) and Washington are battling for the last 3 host sites.

They also have SOAL and TXST in the field. We just need to keep it clean and we may be home come regionals.

Also, since it’s single elimination, we don’t have a chance to see both txst and south Alabama. They will meet in the semis if they both win their first game.

3-0 this upcoming week and we will be sitting pretty come selection sunday. Fingers crossed all around!

I will be shocked if South Alabama is not in the tournament. Their RPI is 31. Hard to believe that even the softball committee would be able to find a way to exclude them.

USA is as close to a lock as a mid-major can be. Im guessing Cajuns seed between 12-14. im starting to feel like whatever seed match up with B.R super. so maybe a 5 seed vs 12 seed thing. it falls in line with RPI and makes easy to no work for the committee to do.
