The way Fluno has been pitching I would be surprised if he doesn’t give up a crooked number in the first. We would need to score a ton of runs tomorrow double digits. I hope they respond as it would be the win of the year.

I can almost guarantee an at large with a regular season title. RPI is a tool the committee uses. It’s not all they take into consideration.

There is some work to do to make that happen though.

I do get the frustration. But it’s the same comments every year when a couple losses in a row happen. (Not necessarily you) but let it play out before “the coach is dumb” or “the team sucks”, etc.

It’s wild man. Like a bunch of spoiled children. This is an upper echelon team in the country. And they’ve been in the postseason each of the last two years, with an improvement in their record for each of the last 5 or so seasons. They got beat the last two days. That’s 2 of 56 regular season games.

Definitely some truth to this. If they do get swept tomorrow, and not much suggests they won’t, the season is far from over.

But this team has to pitch well to win, so the margin for error is thin. Still think this team has some fight in them. Let’s geaux!!!

Troy was 31 in the coaches poll before this week. They’ll be ranked Monday. Last night was a demolition. Today was a 5-4 game in the 8th inning.

Should UL win tomorrow, both of these teams may be ranked.

Might not have Fluno tomorrow. Early exit vs USM + TBA Sunday pitcher = recurrent soreness till proven otherwise.

I think I heard Etheridge will get the start. We have a stocked and capable pen, so there is hope. Cointing on Martinez and McGeehee also... But Troy is amazing at the plate. Our pitchers will have to rise to the occasion and the bats will have to score early and often. No lead is safe.

Big game tomorrow... it's either tied for 1st or up 2 games.

I am disappointed, but that comes with being a fan.

Rarely during good seasons are there no periods of inconsistency. This season is no different.

The team was very hot for a long stretch, but I expected them to float back to earth as teams do.

I also expect them to right the ship start tacking into the wind.

There is no better time than near the end of the regular season to pick yourself up and pick up your teammate and get hot again.

This is the team CMD said it was preseason. He said we could really pitch, but the offense was likely not as strong as 2023. He knew.

Hopefully, we get back to being a little sharper on the mound.

The season is far from over. Every goal is still sitting right in front this team. A win tomorrow keeps us in 1st place. Two series wins will likely lock up regular season title and boost RPI.

Either way I firmly believe Cajun baseball will continue making significant progress. The program is obviously strong and coaching staff took a big step forward with Gunner.
