Well, the winning streak was fun, but this team is not very good

Sad to see Cajun Baseball have an epic meltdown like this. Coach Deggs needs to recruit some hitters and some pitchers….. so damn frustrating. We will get swept tomorrow with the rest of our season going down the drain.

I’m sure tomorrow we will see a new lineup for the hundredth time. No consistency he will throw in halter and cuff and Mandino how the hell we don’t have established lineup right now

At this point Troy is simply better than us and they are on a serious roll right now. Their hitters are extremely disciplined at the plate and can really hit the ball. Not one of LP's better games but that happens in baseball. Very disappointing first 2 games to say the least.

Starts at the top, can’t have your head coach saying “try not to get swept on the road” as a strategy. Losers say ____ like that. Team steps off the bus thinking coach will be satisfied not getting swept.

The lineup thing is hard to understand. You don’t know who your horses are in May? Alexander, Mandino. These guys are great outfielders. Good hitters also and fast.

It’s the Gerry Glasco anomaly. Guess who I’m playing. It’s been more consistent this year and he did it to see who can defend (I think.) but there’s no consistency.

Sure are a whole lot of the same comments here today as there were after the team got swept at JMU last year.

Just a heads up, this team is 33-15 and still lead the SBC with 7 conference games remaining. And have spent the last month ranked in the top 25 in the country. A win tomorrow and they have a two game lead with 2 weekends left. As hard as it is to believe, tomorrow is a new day and it’s baseball. Nobody has any idea what the outcome will be.

They haven’t played well this weekend. AND have run into a buzz saw team that’s playing out of its mind right now. This is the same group that last a series at NW State this season. They are just hot as hell right now.

I guess everyone forgot about winning the series against S. Miss last week?

Maybe step away from the ledge a little bit. There’s still a whole lot of things that can happen.

Or not, everyone is entitled to say and feel whatever they want, even if it’s a bit ridiculous.

We are playing ourselves into another situation where we may have to win the sbc tournament. And we don’t have a #1 RPI team left on the schedule beat and help us. I can almost guarantee an at large with a regular season title. RPI is a tool the committee uses. It’s not all they take into consideration.

There is some work to do to make that happen though.

I do get the frustration. But it’s the same comments every year when a couple losses in a row happen. (Not necessarily you) but let it play out before “the coach is dumb” or “the team sucks”, etc.

It’s wild man. Like a bunch of spoiled children. This is an upper echelon team in the country. And they’ve been in the postseason each of the last two years, with an improvement in their record for each of the last 5 or so seasons. They got beat the last two days. That’s 2 of 56 regular season games.

It’s gut check time. I have no issues eating my crow if we answer the bell tomorrow. I’m personally not expecting much.
