The D1 guys have discussed teams whose RPI and DSR rankings are quite different. The Cajuns fall into that category. I wonder if the committee will consider DSR when making their selections.

I think the DSR will be considered when selections are made. From what I understand, last year’s committee asked for a new system to be developed which would not have as much emphasis on opponents and particularly opponents of opponents.

I'd hate to see hotel prices in Starkville for a regional, I paid over 200 a night at a Comfort Suites for move in weekend.

On the one hand some are saying a 2 is generous, yet being in region #14 would imply that is the 3rd best of all the 2's?

How such a huge disconnect?
Also wasnt there a time when they did not dilineate who was 2 and who was 3?

Because the people saying a #2 is generous, have no idea what they are talking about. We already have at least a "tie" of the Regular Season championship in the #5 RPI conference with an RPI hovering in the high 30's with potential to move into low 30's.

For the record, I've watched the D1Baseball Projections Podcast the last 2 weeks and all 3 writers strongly believe in the Cajuns being a lock and also projecting us to win the Tourny... which further enhances the prediction to be a 2 seed.

We could be a 2 seed but it isn't a lock for sure. One glaring negative for us.... We have played more quad 4 games than any other team in the rpi top50. Things like that are noticed. Ultimately there probably isn't a huge difference between a low 2 and a high 3 seed.
