Because the people saying a #2 is generous, have no idea what they are talking about. We already have at least a "tie" of the Regular Season championship in the #5 RPI conference with an RPI hovering in the high 30's with potential to move into low 30's.

For the record, I've watched the D1Baseball Projections Podcast the last 2 weeks and all 3 writers strongly believe in the Cajuns being a lock and also projecting us to win the Tourny. which further enhances the prediction to be a 2 seed.

We could be a 2 seed but it isn't a lock for sure. One glaring negative for us We have played more quad 4 games than any other team in the rpi top50. Things like that are noticed. Ultimately there probably isn't a huge difference between a low 2 and a high 3 seed.
