RPI all the way down to 57. I think some of you are downplaying how bad this is.

If we go 3-1 this week it doesn’t matter which team the loss is against as far as rpi goes.

So if you have 10 losses on the season against the 10 worst teams or 10 best teams on the schedule. Your rpi is the same.

RPI is one thing, if we keep playing like this we don’t even have to worry about it. Pitching from innings 1-9 has been terrible. Yes, some guys stepped up and saved the day, but we’ve thrown just about all of our regulars in the last 4 games and most have been abused.

Then, hitting against guys with super inflated ERAs just isn’t good enough. We got a ton of help with errors and HCU just being themselves. Which is not a good baseball team.

After winning 24 of 25 or whatever, I was afraid of us cooling off.

Depends whether they are at home not away.

    That's not how it works

The loss sucks no doubt. I’m more concerned about what the coastal series may have done to our pitching staff. They don’t look as confident. Hopefully they get the swag back fast. Schedule is brutal the rest of the way.

Yeah I'm no RPI expert but I am pretty sure that is not how things work. This loss completely F'd us.

So it doesn’t matter who you lose to? So why did we drop only a couple spots losing to the Beach Chickens in that Sunday game… but dropped 14 spots just now losing to the Huskies?

Because we took a hit in
    1. Our record
    2. Opponents overall record
    3. Opponents opponents records( that’s why their rpi is so bad)

Those are the 3 factors in the rpi. Plus the home loss affects it more. 1.3 loss instead of just 1. So we probably would have dropped even if we won tonight.
