Yes, there were games against Southern Arkansas, Ouachita Baptist, and William Carey ... six in total during that 17-game winning streak. The schedule (outside of the winning streak) also had games against Loyola (New Orleans) and Delta State. This was the season that Lamar swept us in Beaumont and eliminated the Cajuns in the Sun Belt Tournament (two and cue). The Cajuns went 2-5 vs. Lamar that season.

I recall the Saturday doubleheader at Lamar where the Cajuns lost 4-0 and 11-0. It was not my fault ... but it was my wedding day.

I certainly did. It was the next day when we were driving to Florida and the NCAA Basketball Tournament selections were being announced on the radio. It was then that I learned that the Cajuns would be taking on Marquette in the first round at the St. Petersburg Thunderdome. We attended the game with 8th row center court tickets ($20 each).

Me too! That regional was loaded. Duke, Kentucky,Marquette and Michigan state. I distinctly remember how much blue was in that arena. The thunderdome was new at the time and they ended up having to add more seats for the Kentucky/Marquette duke/Michigan state session.
