The west side, yes. But the east side will follow after the fall of 2025. I’m talking the entire renovation.

    Not as of now.

A formula on how to not to get people interested ... opponents and fans alike.

You're right. Our marketing is second to none. Don't see how anyone could complain about that. I'm sure we'll get plenty of advanced notice 2 hours beforehand.

Pretty sure all of spring is closed to the public since it will take place on the grass practice field and the indoor facility. There will be no spring game as we know it.

True. UL does a pretty good job of getting people not interested. However, it's a different world out there now. I don't want our best players poached after spring practice.

It was my understanding the state funds were approved and construction would begin immediately after the east side was completed.

    Jeff Landry Executive Budget

    Relevant page: 14

Take note in the $104m reduction in capital outlay budget.

I believe we have someone in the governor's mansion that doesn't look too kindly on higher ed:

Jeff Landry sought to bar Louisiana universities from getting Blue Cross proceeds

“I don’t want money going to higher education. I want the money used in our workforce because everywhere I go, people are telling me they don’t have skilled labor. And I’ve seen these deals around the country and all the money gets sucked up by the universities and we got nothing,” Landry said.
Note: I am happy the BCBS sale to Elevance fell through though, but the above quote gives you a peer into his thoughts.

Nothing has changed. No telling with this administration.

It's also a recipe for never getting another player drafted.

Ike Taylor was partially discovered by an unnannounced NFL scout at a spring practice who came to see Charles 'Peanut' Tillman.

Alvin Dark in the 1940's was scouted unannounced.

There may be others those are just two that came fo light after the fact.

So are you saying the east side will not be completed for quite some time?

When the demo starts we will have an idea. But I definitely apprehensive.
