LSU lost their pitching coach (Wes Johnson) to Georgia as the HC. And hired Nate Yeskie who was the pitching coach at Texas A&M last year.

A&M was an ELITE team last season but their pitching, mainly their inability to throw strikes, killed them.

A&M fired Yeskie and hired Max Weiner, who was running pitching development for the Seattle Mariners organization, and now has them sitting in the top 5 in the country and sporting the 2nd best ERA in all of college baseball.

LSU hired Yeskie to replace Johnson. And they are giving up well over 5 walks/HBPs per game this year, are 2-7 in the SEC, have lost 6 of 8, and tonight lost to one of the worst D1 baseball teams I’ve ever seen. And by 5 runs.

A couple guys on my college baseball group text are A&M guys…and they are getting quite a kick out of what’s going on with LSU and Yeskie.

Georgia Southern’s Blancato just hit a two out grand slam in the T2nd vs. South Carolina. They have plated five in the inning to lead 5-0.

Georgia Southern hands South Carolina their first shutout of the year, defeating the Gamecocks 8-0 in Columbia. South Carolina's lowest prior run total this season was four runs.

Man, you could tell SC just wanted out of there in the 9th. Pitching was trash at that point.
