  1. UL Tennis MT: Louisiana Looks to Pass Final SBC Road Test

The Louisiana men's tennis team hits the road for the final time this week when they take on No. 53 Old Dominion on Friday and close the week at James Madison on Saturday.

The Ragin' Cajuns saw their seven-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday at South Alabama but the team remains in third place in the Sun Belt Conference at 2-1.

Vasil Dimitrov continues to lead the Cajuns in singles with nine wins on the year, including a thrilling three-set win to clinch the match over Troy on Saturday. The junior is 8-2 over his last 10 contests and has a 7-2 record on court four. Oriol Fillat Gimenez is also playing strong tennis lately and carries a five-match winning streak into the week.

Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez made quick work in his win on Sunday at South Alabama, his eighth of the season and improves his record to 7-3 over his last 10 matches. He's also had a good season in doubles with partner Sacha Grandvincent where they hold a 6-3 record on court one.

Old Dominion enters Friday's match ranked No. 53 in the country at 13-5, and second in the Sun Belt at 3-1. The Monarchs started the year strong, winning nine of their first 10 contests. Connor van Schalkwyk leads the team in singles with a 14-2 record this spring, including an 8-2 record on court one. Yanis Moundir has also been strong with a 13-1 singles record. Moundir and Maxime Mareschal-Hay boast the most wins on the Monarchs in doubles with nine.

James Madison has struggled since the start of Sun Belt play, dropping four matches in a row. The Dukes have been streaky this year, losing four straight, then winning six straight, before their current four-match slide. Esteve Agusti leads JMU with nine singles victories this spring.
