Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball wraps up a six-game homestand on Tuesday when it entertains in-state opponent Grambling at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with fans in the Lafayette area able to listen on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
Louisiana (16-8), which has won its last seven games, looks to match its longest win streak since winning eight straight games in 2021. The Ragin' Cajuns capped off a 5-0 record last week with a 2-0 victory over Old Dominion, allowing the fewest runs (1) in a Sun Belt Conference series in school history.
The Ragin' Cajuns enter their midweek contest against Grambling (8-13) looking to finish 6-0 on their homestand before resuming SBC play beginning Thursday at Texas State.
Right-hander Blake McGehee (1-1, 7.50 ERA) will earn the start on the mound for Louisiana with four regulars – Trey LaFleur (.404-3-13), Kyle DeBarge (.309-8-27), Josh Alexander (.309-1-11) and Lee Amedee (.304-1-10) – hitting above .300 on the season.
After a 2-13 start, Grambling has won its last six games and is one of three unbeaten teams in Southwestern Athletic Conference play. The Tigers earned a three-game sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff last weekend, capping off the series with a 17-2 win.
Ashton Inmam (.387-1-14) and Julian Murphy (.352-0-11) are the top two hitters for Grambling, which is averaging .278 as a team. GSU's starter on the mound has not been determined.
