Very bad loss. Hard to figure this team.

Always a bad loss if we lose to tech. But realistically, probably not as bad a loss as it feels.
That stinks after scoring in each of the first 3 innings. Walks and a couple hits will do that to you.
I don’t think we actually lost. According to their scoreboard, they were playing some team named ULL.
Thought Landry should have been pulled after that 2 walk HR. Riasetto looked like our ace.
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team lost hold of a three-run lead and was dealt a 5-3 loss by Louisiana Tech on Wednesday, March 20 at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field in Ruston.
Louisiana (18-13) strung together single runs in its first three trips to the plate for a quick 3-0 lead, but the host-Bulldogs (20-5) posted a four-spot on the board in the bottom of the third to flip the lead in their favor.
LA Tech picked up an insurance run in the fourth and fended off two-out rallies from the Cajuns in the final two frames to secure its first win in the series since April 1998 and end a 31-game losing streak to UL.
The Cajuns had their season-best, nine-game winning streak snapped and lost for the first time this season when out-hitting the opponent.
UL capitalized on a pair of Tech miscues in the first inning to push across the initial run. A solo home run from Victoria Valdez in the second and two-out RBI single from Alexa Langeliers in the third increased the advantage to 3-0.
The Bulldogs drew even in the bottom of the third on Alannah Rogers' three-run home run – aided by a pair of walks – and later parlayed a Cajuns throwing error into the go-ahead run.
Rogers got LA Tech a two-out RBI in the fourth, picking up her fourth RBI of the contest, to extend the lead to 5-3.
Jourdyn Campbell and Mihyia Davis singled in the sixth inning leading to runners on second and third with two outs for Louisiana. However, the Bulldogs got the ground ball out needed to preserve the lead. Then in the seventh it was another timely ground ball that followed Brooke Ellestad's two-out single.
Davis went 2-for-4 at the plate for her 14th multiple-hit game, Valdez collected her fourth home run and Langeliers moved into third on the team as she notched her 18th RBI.
Sam Landry (4.0 IP, 5 R, 3 BB, 2 K) was charged with the loss ending her personal eight-game win streak. Chloe Riassetto pitched two perfect innings in relief, retiring all six batters, to keep the Bulldogs from adding insurance runs.
Have not had top flight elite pitching staff since Covid year.
Because it made me put two

Riasetto has looked like our Ace all year. She has gotten us out of jams many times. Many that Sam created in fact.
We have some more work to do in the circle and defense
Have they given up on the other 3 pitchers? We haven’t seen Ryan & Delbrey in a good while, & rarely Loecker.
