He and Jordan Brown with this years group would have been interesting.

Yay for college sports turning to crap

Marlin quit recruiting him before NIL.

    "Never stop recruiting"

What do you mean? Marlin has had top 200 recruiting classes since he arrived here.

Jordan Brown…step back and look. Arizona, Nevada, Louisiana, Memphis, quit, back to Memphis. There’s a pattern there. All that moving was about JB and nobody else. Same could be said about Fulks.

This may be the new normal. Think in MBB the days of a player having longevity in one place will reside in a minority of players.

Drake has been a highly successful mid major under Coach DeVries, just hired by W. Virginia. He had this year's roster consisting of four D-1 transfers and one D-2 transfers. The rest of his roster were HS recruits. Granted his son is a very, very good player. I think DeVries made 3 NCAA tourneys in 6 seasons at Drake.

He paid his dues with a decade plus run at Creighton as an assistant. I’m impressed with his apparent patience.

App State’s Justin Apsom, SBC Defensive Player of year and national leader in blocked shots, has entered portal.

App’s other big, Spillers is also now in portal. Their 2 bigs dominated the inside in conference play. I am sure they will get nice NIL opportunities.

James Madison had 3 guys enter portal yesterday, including their best player in Edwards. The Cajuns are not alone in having to deal with this changing world.

Thought Joe would be the last straw. No more straws to give. Maybe they gave Marlin the extension with plans for him to suit up at SF in 2024.

I wonder if there will be more people in the seats or legitimate D1 players on the roster next year.

Seems like it’s gonna be neck and neck

Staff will have to bring in transfers of their own to have a decent roster. South Alabama does it every year.

South Alabama is not the model from which our program should be designed.
