Paige Duncan and Nina Krecklenberg each picked up their fourth singles win of the spring on Monday for the Louisiana women's tennis team. Despite their efforts and a late charge in singles, the Ragin' Cajuns fell to Coastal Carolina 5-2.

The Chants took the early lead by winning the doubles point, snapping Louisiana's three-match streak of winning the point. The visitors then took singles matches on courts two and three to go ahead, 3-0, before Louisiana made a late run.

Krecklenberg got them on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 win on court six, her fourth straight singles win overall. After dropping her opening set, Duncan finished strong to take her match in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. With the match still up for grabs, only courts one and four were still playing.

On one the Chants came away with the win over Carla Urchoeguia in a close three-set contest, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. They also took it on four over Angelique Berrat by the slimmest of margins, 7-6 (7-4), 7-5.

Louisiana hits the road next weekend starting with James Madison on Saturday, March 23.
