13 of the 30 games we have played this year have been against teams in this weeks top 25, and we still have 2 vs LSU and 3 Vs TxSt yet to play.

Do we still have the toughest pre conference schedule in the country?

For those who say the conference drags us down, I offer this: as of today the combined records of the conference teams remaining on our schedule is 112-69. Not too shabby.

Our remaining non-conference opponents are 80-33.

This all bodes well for a continued improving RPI, assuming we continue to win.

As far as the other metrics used to determine NCAA placement and/or seeding, our schedule includes 18 total games against current Top 25 RPI teams and an additional 5 from 26-50 currently. We are currently 3-10 against Top 25 current RPI. [1-5 vs Top 5].

Looks like in Softball America, us and TX State are the only two G5/mid majors in the Top 25.

In the Coach’s poll, no G5s in the Top 25, with us, Texas State and Grand Canyon as the only ones receiving votes.

This is definitely not the softball landscape of 15-20 years ago.

Am I missing something? I was sure we played LSU tonight. Our schedule says no, but Warren Nolan says yes.

LSU was moved to April. Was announced a while back. Guess Warren Nolan missed it as well.

Actually they did not miss it, this happens all the time with moved games on WN. He has the moved game later in the season, but did not update the game that was postponed. For instance if a game is moved because of weather on the day of, he will usually have it on that even though the game was never played, but he will put the new game back on the schedule for the new date.
