I can’t tell you the exact percentage of stops after the momentum stopping timeouts. Seems we have gotten them more often than not this season. At this stage, perhaps they are being called simply to give the guys extra rest.

It still is mind boggling. Most basketball coaches just don’t take a time out on a run. lol. Marlin is consistent on it, but just really would like Jay to ask him why.

I think it’s a rest thing. Usually in the second half, a minute or so before the media stoppages. Sometimes sits a player down, gives continuous rest of 2 time outs plus the game time in between.

He’s not the only one I’ve seen over the years do this.
