    How was the school "bound" to give him an extension for 1 good year? Makes the admin look even more inept for putting that in his last contract after 14 years of mediocrity.

    A conference championship was an automatic one year extension on current contract. The 3 year contract that Maggard extended after is what people have an issue with although he is taking a pay cut with the buyout being much lower starting next year.

    Read the last sentence. I understand it was in the contract. My point is why would they agree to that? Why would they bind themselves to extending this $#!+show??? 14 years not enough to judge??
