Our remaining schedule includes 5 Top 25 games [LSU x 2, TxST x 3], 6 games from 26-50 [McNeese x 2, South Al x 3, Louisiana Tech], 9 games from 51-100 [CCU x 3, JMU x 3, Troy x 3] [Total of 20 Top 100], 6 games from 101-150 [UCA x 2, ULM x 3, Nicholls].
None of these are "bad" games, though losses below 50 I would consider "bad" losses.
We do have 8 "bad" games that we should pray for rainouts. App @ 167 x 3, SFA @ 229 x 2 and USM @ 250 x 3.
UCA [108] and ULM [110] have a chance to move into the Top 100, but UCA's conference [Atlantic Sun] is pretty weak.
The references were to the number of teams in the conference currently in the Top 25 and Top 50 RPI. Most Years we have 3 Top 50, but only 1 Top 25. It is very common for UL, TxSt and USA to have Top 40-50 RPI at this stage of the season, and Troy flirts with those numbers probably 2 of 5 years as well..
I think it is so interesting that our SOS, Strength of Schedule, is #1. Gerry sure knows how to schedule to get the best look from the Committee. Now, we just need to win the remaining games.
