Can't do any better RPI wise
Can't do any better RPI wise
Congratulations ladies. Salvaged a bad weekend.
Just incredible
Great WIN!
You need to go back to the 2020 Covid shortened season to find the last loss by the Sooners at home. It was on 2/29/20 to North Texas (4-3). Of course, the OU steamroller got going the next season in 2021 with three consecutive national championships (2021, 2022, 2023). Winning a fourth this season will set a record.

Congrats Ladies! I was on pins and needles this last 2 innings!
RPI raw number and RPI rank would be the same if the Cajuns had beat Liberty and lost vs. Oklahoma today, when speaking of the numeric formula calculation... It's a mix of Cajuns WP, Opponents WP, and Opponent's Opponent's WP. None of those numbers change if we exchange a Liberty win for an OU loss.... i.e. Cajuns record (WP), OWP, and OOWP would all be the same.
Now - what does matter is Cajun record vs. the RPI Top 10... Definite a quality win... when it comes time for NCAA selections for an at-large, the OU win will certainly help in that way... but it doesn't change or impact the RPI raw numbers compared to if (both) games had gone the opposite way today.
Just sayin'! ;-)
just super!
Really hope Valdez somehow escaped serious injury. She was really good behind the plate today working with an ump with a tight zone.
While that play might have saved the game, more importantly, just hope young lady is ok.
Need to go 4-0 next weekend. Central Arkansas is not what they were last year. SFA isn’t any good either. Not teams with only 5 wins on the season.
A common opponent for us and CA was Chattanooga. Chattanooga won both games.
Way to Geaux Cajuns!
In 2008 the Cajuns defeated #1 ranked Florida in the World Series. In 2014 defending National Champs Oklahoma came to Lamson Park and the Cajuns swept them in a doubleheader.
No. 3 story on ESPN right now. Thanks Caitlin.
