Really hope Valdez somehow escaped serious injury. She was really good behind the plate today working with an ump with a tight zone.

While that play might have saved the game, more importantly, just hope young lady is ok.

She had ice on her left knee, I think. Left or right not sure, but definitely icebag on one of them.

In 2008 the Cajuns defeated #1 ranked Florida in the World Series. In 2014 defending National Champs Oklahoma came to Lamson Park and the Cajuns swept them in a doubleheader.

Safe to say that the gauntlet is over. Finished with 3 wins over the “p5.” Top 25 Baylor and #1 Oklahoma. Cal is 15-1 now with some nice wins. They are in the top 25 now.

Losses to Stanford x2, Texas x2, Moo State x2, and Cal who are all in the Top 25.

Miami OH is pretty good. Not sold on Liberty.

I know it doesn’t feel like it, but we’ve actually got comparable or better wins altogether vs. the Top 25 this year already. Our best regular season win in 23’ was vs. TSAB. Also got 1 off of Florida who weren’t that great, although a top 25 team. Central Florida was another, but they dropped out of the top 25 soon after. We went 1-5 in Clearwater. Got beat by Texas twice. Lost to Baylor and TAMU.

Let’s hope this highly publicized win gets them going.

Thanks to us, they are the lone undefeated team left. They’ve had several close calls though.
