    Through two innings, Oklahoma hitters have driven six balls into the outfield for hits. Meanwhile, with the bases loaded and no outs and power hitters at the plate, Cajuns pop one up and then hit into a double play. Not once has a Cajun hitter made solid contact. The difference in the way Oklahoma hitters swing the bat and the way Cajun hitters swing the bat is striking.

    We cannot hit when it counts. With runners on base. Our hitting is not good.

    Two years ago, in 2022, the Cajuns ended the year #2 in the nation in batting average. Oklahoma finished #1. Currently, the Cajuns are #122 in batting average. What a difference two years make.

    If you look at oklahoma they are swinging on top of the ball. Making a solid contact
