I think that with a 3-2 count and a runner on first (knowing Loer did not want to walk Taylor and put the tying run in scoring position)
… Taylor was looking fastball and got fooled by the slider. I don’t mind him looking for the heater and potentially driving it out of the park. Hat tip to Loer for an outstanding pitch.

Losing to lsu and vandy is not bad they are great teams rpi wise. It’s losing 2 of 3 to Rice at home that is horrible they are 3-7 on the season and lost their last 4 games. That series hurt bad rpi.

He took all 3 strikes, never tried to protect the plate. That was not a competitive at bat in my book. But, once again it came down to a pass ball and several pitches. We need a good outing tomorrow from Fluno and try to get the bats going earlier against Houston.
