Actually it’s the 5th time the Cajuns play in the tournament. It’s just a different name. Previously played in 2002 , 2003, 2016, & 2018.

I knew "first" was wrong, I was looking for the previous dates last night and came up empty.

I did a search by year and obviously wrong name, but its the same event.

I'm thinking (probably shouldn't do that) that the author of this article meant that it's their first appearance of THIS year's tournament.

I had already seen it on the Astros site. It lists participants for each year.
