Thread: BB: Brooks, DeBarge Lead Louisiana Past Demons, 14-4

  1. UL Baseball BB: Brooks, DeBarge Lead Louisiana Past Demons, 14-4

Murphy Brooks struck out three batters and allowed one hit in his Louisiana debut and Kyle DeBarge homered twice, including a first-inning grand slam, in a 14-4 seven-inning victory over Northwestern State on Wednesday at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

I'm kind of expecting to see Murphy Brooks again this Sunday. My projected rotation for this weekend is Martinez, Fluno, Brooks.

Sounds like LP will get a start this weekend also. Deggs said that LP wasn't going to be coming out of the pen and Hermann won't be pitching mid-week...

I would think Brooks out of the pen at some point this weekend...

This pitching staff depth is mind boggling. If our bats and defense are half way decent, this will be a phenomenal year.

Mind boggling indeed! Game 8 of the season and we saw 2 new arms (15 & 16) and I thought they were just as good as any we have seen so far.

Out of 16 arms so far, there is no one that I have seen that scares me when they walk out to the mound. Yes, a few have had "shaky" outings but "that's baseball".

Last night, Brennaman didnt have the greatest of outings but his stuff is there from the small sample size I saw. No different than Hess. He had a couple rough outings but the stuff was there and he threw great last night.
