Looking solely from a defensive perspective, how many different infields have we put out there already this season? It seems like we should have come out of fall with a better idea of what our best defensive lineup is. I also don’t understand how a college softball team doesn’t seem to have a true first baseman on the roster.

Defense is atrocious this year. Can’t remember a Cajun team with a defense this bad. Have to be on pace to set school record for errors in a season.

Too many players taking their offensive struggles to the field. This is a team that has been over scheduled and their confidence is in the gutter. Hope they can recover.

While disappointed that at this point we are still in this situation, I think it’s the most accurate assessment. Time to grin and bear through the gauntlet and turn it on in conference.
