    Jay Johnson was a mid westerner and very much sounded the part. He did just fine.

    Yes was let go from Washington when Ron was fired

    Going into Coach Des 3rd year, I think Salgado's recruiting ability is secondary (pun intended!) We need a D Coord coach that can impact this year, and bring some energy to the defense. Hopefully he's a good teacher.

    Salgado had a hell of a run at Princeton. He rebuilt their defense and made them statistically one of the best in the FCS. Two of his players, Mike Catapano and Caraun Reid were drafted into the NFL (Catapano by the Chiefs; Reid, by the Lions). The Cajuns are in good hands.

    As are all assistants when a head is let go. So he wasn’t let because of his poor performance per se.

    Washington is a garbage organization. New ownership may change that view, but his resume speaks for itself. He has a former DC to assist him and a pretty good DB coach.

    I mean he was just an analyst for them for about 4 weeks. left MSU in late November.
