Weight St has won 40 games each of the past 5 years. They have been to a regional in 5 of the last 7 years. Made a regional final the last two years.

Marlin has actually never beaten a team of this caliber.

Hell outside of conference play Marlin has never beaten a top 100 RPI program in 14 years.

Basketball is a bottom 1/3 program and baseball is a top 50 program.

Also, even with the cold weather and rain, baseball outdrew basketballs last 5 home games combined. Baseball is also reporting actual butts in the seats in order to perform research on the new app and scanners.

Who were the opponents that you’ve never heard of?

I’m assuming Wright State is one.

Maybe the fact that you’ve never heard of a team that’s been in the NCAA Tournament 9 of the last 17 years and has had 12 guys drafted in the top 5 rounds (same as the Cajuns) means that you may not know as much about the sport as you seem to think you do.

And for the record, assuming High Point is the other team you’ve never heard of, do you happen to remember that his team last year that lost a game to them also happened to have earned an at large big to the NCAA tournament? How many of those does Marlin have?

1 They have a good baseball program.
2 they beat us in basketball earlier this year.
    3 they’re from Ohio
4 the school is named after the wright brothers.

    1. That they've been in a regional each of the last 3 years
    2. That CF Andrew Patrick was a big time prospect and the only player in the NCAA last year with 20 doubles, 20 HRs and 30 SBs
    3. That they brought back nearly their entire position player group and would be an excellent opening weekend opponent, and that winning 2 of 3 against would be a nice result in the RPI come late May.

Our university is now R1 yet our fanbase cannot distinguish between a "school" and a "team"
    Cant blame marlin for that

P.S. he hasn’t defeated a top 100 NET ranked team outside of the SBC either.

Also when you start defending semantics you’ve already lost the discussion.
