Jose Torres' sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning capped a two-run rally and gave the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns a 3-2 win over Wright State in the season-opener for both teams on Friday at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

Pitching and defense!! Good Friday baseball.

Aside from the LF error that led to a run, defense was flawless.

What I really liked was 4 of the 5 arms they used tonight were challenging hitters. That was good, and refreshing, to see.

Not so much pitching for Wright State last night. Jake Shirk was roughed up for 9 hits and 7 ER in just 4.0 innings. But it did not stop there as OU banged out 21 hits en route to a 20-0 win over the Raiders. The Sooners scored in every inning except the sixth. Amazingly, OU achieved this level of offensive production without the benefit of a single Wright State error.

Hopefully Wright State can turn it around today in what will be a doubleheader.
