That playoff loss to the Cardinals where he had 11 interceptions was a great game to watch
Before that game, he had the highest career post season passer rating in NFL history. He performed pretty damn good in big games.

I know he is beloved here.. I just have zero attachment to the guy, other than Haslett/McCarthy being too stupid to play him when Brooks was hurt and we needed one win

Turbine has Hurts on the list. Therefore, he is mentioned. He and Jake had, probably by far, the best performances of those on the list.
    Exactly

Not super bowl related but definitely attachment related, for a few years he gave UL the biggest single season turnaround in NCAA history.

Ok, but your whole “he just got bailed out by throwing up passes to Steve Smith” hot take diminishes what he actually did as a pro. Jake was loved by much of the Panther fanbase, who darn well knew of his limitation as QB but admired his heart, passion, and knack for 4th Q comebacks.

Montana threw up a lot of “desperate” passes to Rice, and The Catch to Clark. Remember that one?

Brady threw up lots of 50/50 balls to Moss and Gronk. Brees to Colston and Graham. Favre to everyone.

Jake had a lot of confidence in Steve Smith (and where to place it) he, didn't "throw it up" to just anyone. A total collapse of the O-Line being the exceptions.

    Hurts 103.4, Jake D. 113.6

People put Hurts up there because he ran for 70 yards and called his own number near the goal line.

Ironcally Jake ran for 50 yards in a game against the Panthers (the week after he beat Dallas) in a game Iron Head H. could only rush for 3 yards in.

In the Superbowl they praised Hurts for running for his life, yet the Saints couldn't see the forest for the trees when Jake did it.

Yes. Jim Kelly is 4-0 in Super Bowls.

Probably even more important than their own passer ratings would be diff between theirs and their opponent's.
Jake was a plus 12.5 whereas Hurts was a minus 28

Ironic the first two mentioned loss to a qb that had ball last, but brees won because his opponent had the ball last. And he won passer rating 114.5 to 88.5, yikes.
