I bet he proves that theory wrong and it will be on a bigger stage. His philosophy was learned under jesse minter.There are like 3 college teams in the country whose defenses arent frustrating to watch, its the way the game is played today.

yes, bc national champion blue blood programs normally hire bad coaches, good grief. He was highly recommended by the DC who is leaving that program for the NFL.

Lamar is going to do great things. Defensive coordinator experience for an FBS school, transitioning to a more specialized role where he can learn some more for a highly storied program. He's going to be a force.

I remember when Brent Pry was the scapegoat under Bustle. Then he became a favorite of many of us to replace Hud.

So continues a really interesting trend of coaches from G5 schools taking lower position jobs at P4 schools. They realize the operating model is changing. The gap between P4 and G5 is going to get bigger. So you kind of have to get in the P4 club at closer to entry level then work your way up there. That's different than the CBN model.

And that DB role will pay a lot more than our DC does.

You also have power conference head coaches leaving for jobs at more prestigious schools. Look at chip kelly leaving close to 6 mil a year to be OC with Ohio State.
