    F em

The athletic department absolutely made the right decision by ditching ticketmaster

If "WE" became the owners how can "any other parties" still be involved. I.e. "their" employees should be no longer and are now "our" employees????

This would be ideal. Not sure if we have 80-100 mil laying around but it would pay for itself soon enough. Basketball specific but able to host other events. Totally UL controlled from tickets to concessions

UL owns the Cajundome, but it is overseen by the Cajundome Commission. As long as an outside party (LCG) subsidies the dome, the commission will stay.

Unlike other UL venues, the Cajundome is its own separate entity and it is expected to be self-sufficient. That means it must sometimes operate with its best interests in mind, not the best interests of the UL athletic department.

That just guarantees we will go to the softball game then walk to the dome. I'll buy a beer at the softball game for the walk because I can afford those!

    Thanks Mike!
There are plenty of Cajundome parking spots open on Congress side.

Saw that. Was being “policed” when I tried.

Most folks who normally park in Lot C did today with no issues despite the warnings not to. The Mardi Gras brunch which was over in Convention Center began at 10:30. By 1:30 most of those folks had left. I did show my pass like any other game and was waved right in. Not sure why the big notice of no Dome parking was required
