Why do we need to choose?

I think he gets in within the next few years.

Devin Hester was a 3 time All-Pro and on two all-decade teams.

Mitchell was a 1 time All Pro.

I know we like to look at things with Vermilion & White glasses, but Hester was always going to be in as a return specialist before Mitchell due to him separating himself from the rest of his peers as a return man during his best seasons. Three times led the NFL in punt return TDs.

Its just plain criminal that he isn't in the HOF yet. Lead the league in all purpose yards in the history of the NFL the day he retired.

Compared to Brian Mitchell he burned out like a bottle rocket.

He never led the entire all-purpose history of the NFL like Brian Mitchell did.

No Hall of Famer kept playing longer than normal (due to Hester) to recapure the top spot like Jerry Rice had to do after Brian Mitchell retired.

if he had more TDs but less yards, maybe some of those were shorter field position fields?
maybe his team had better blockers?

    a. there are multiple selecting organizations so BM actually had more than 1
    b. if the consensus position is he deserves to be in, but those selecting are wrong for not putting him in, how can a different subjective selection being wrong be used as evidence to justify the other wrong vote?
