On April 8, 2010, at approximately 8:15 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 100 block of Van Buren Drive regarding a shooting. Witnesses advised officers that a fight involving multiple suspects began in a field near an apartment complex. One of the suspects produced a shotgun, firing at least two shots in the direction of the victims. 4 victims were stuck by pellets from the shotgun. Only one victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for moderate injuries.

Police are looking for at least two black male suspects, possibly driving a Silver Ford Expedition.
