They do play hard. They have a bunch of guys that are easy to root for too. But that doesn’t change what needs to happen for the health of the program.

To think otherwise is just being deliberately ignorant to what the Cajun fan base has been saying. This fan base has quit on this staff. He could go to back to back NCAA tournaments and the crowds won’t be any better.

We sold less than 1000 season tickets. Well less than 1000 season tickets. Regardless of record when you can’t sell enough season tickets to pay for your contract you are over paid. That goes for every sport.
Alabama football ticket sales dropped almost 3 million last year

    That’s a decline of roughly 3%.

We’ve experienced a much significantly higher percentage. Yet we continue to raise prices.

Sorry… that was sarcasm. Quite often over the past few years, the come back has been… “but they play hard.” That just goes so far.

Oh I picked up on it. I’ve just been accused of being to negative and I figured I would hand out a compliment.

Well, these last 2 home games will drag down the attendance average a bit more going up against baseball Wednesday and Friday for the minute maid classic.

Baseball will have more total attendance in 9 games than basketball will have all year.

Many of the few basketball fans left will be in Houston, myself included.

According to the Cajundome Wikipedia site, the top 10 Cajuns MBB attended games in the Cajundome are listed below as a stark reminder of this program's potential again. Our leaders need to urgently paint a new vision for our MBB program. Where we are today isn't cutting it, demonstrates a lack of care by our leaders.

That has been my point, this has been a slow motion train wreck, with many hands along the way that failed to act. I'm not absolving the current regime, however, it was plunging long before he even arrived. Headed into 30th year of meh.

Bunch of Tim Floyd, Hugh Durham and John Calipari coached teams there, and Loyola Marymount just two years after the Hank Gathers-Bo Kimble team.

You won't see teams like this on our home schedule now. Some of that isn't even the coach's fault.

If Louisiana made it a habit of hitting the road vs high caliber teams, you would see high calibre teams visit the CajunDome.

Without a guaranteed boost to their RPI, they will never visit again.

It will take years to establish that reputation.
