As the 2024 indoor season draws to a close the Louisiana track and field team has announced their outdoor schedule for the spring. The team will compete in seven meets before the Sun Belt Conference Championships starting May 9.
The season starts in Lake Charles with the McNeese Cowboy Relays on March 9. The team then returns home to host the Louisiana Classics on March 15-16. Louisiana then makes its way east along I-10 for the LSU Battle on the Bayou on March 23 in Baton Rouge.
The same day the team is in Baton Rouge, the Cajuns will also compete in Houston at the Victor Lopez Invitational hosted by Rice. Next on the schedule is a trip to Natchitoches for the NSU Leon Johnson Invitational on April 12-13. The Cajuns will compete in the Auburn Invitational on April 20 in Auburn, Alabama before closing the regular season at the Warhawk Classic in Monrow on April 26-27.
The Sun Belt Outdoor Championships will run from May 9-11 in Monroe, Louisiana. The NCAA East Regional Championships in Lexington, Kentucky May 22-25 follows the conference championships. The season concludes in Eugene, Oregon for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 5-8.
