I don't like the answer I'm going to give, but 2 linemen and a fg holder. QB, RB, and WR that get their names called out on the PA are going to get more attention.

No ear tickling communications package like this announcement before.

We have been announcing preferred walk ons for years. At least since the Napier years. Locals don’t move the needle. Winning, an exciting brand of football, exciting players and good in stadium atmosphere, put butts in seats.

Cambre came in as a WR and has had plenty of snaps at that position. The idea of locals putting more butts in the seats sounds good in theory but in practice it doesn’t matter.

Not as a package, this gives the locals talking points.

You can't buy that type of advertising.

Cajun football has to become an attraction. Right now it’s just a game and we haven’t won enough.

I think some of the STM kids will make a difference on the field. They always seem to find a way to contribute.

We have had a great walk on program for a while now. Lots of contributors come from that group.

That is due to the Cajuns not having anyone from 24/7 covering us. Mike likes it that way.

    That explains so much.

You mean like the Napier years?

We won but didn’t have an exciting brand of football.

We also had a lot of great locals. It didn’t move the needle.

Locals were trickled in, there has never been a well timed mass influx from a single local program.

In the course of a season I can see 1000 extra tickets being sold. Average 150 a game.

If the experience is good perhaps 50 new regular fans annually.

Local kids don’t do a damn thing to improve attendance.

I take it no recruiting surprises today?

The FG holder came as a WR. One of the current STM walk ons may take his place in the near future.

Their family , friends and coaches will go. As for as the community as a whole not as much movement.
