We have 3 kids from STM on the current roster. Why didn’t they get tickets before?
I don't like the answer I'm going to give, but 2 linemen and a fg holder. QB, RB, and WR that get their names called out on the PA are going to get more attention.
No ear tickling communications package like this announcement before.

We have been announcing preferred walk ons for years. At least since the Napier years. Locals don’t move the needle. Winning, an exciting brand of football, exciting players and good in stadium atmosphere, put butts in seats.

Cambre came in as a WR and has had plenty of snaps at that position. The idea of locals putting more butts in the seats sounds good in theory but in practice it doesn’t matter.

The FG holder came as a WR. One of the current STM walk ons may take his place in the near future.
