Because I want to acknowledge the accountability of the lack of community outreach by the university. But according to some, that counts as "trashing" it because I have some crazy "agenda" behind it all. Stop making the university the victim. They're not. And no, I'm not using "lazy" in this discussion." It's in front of all of us to see.

If the alumni association reached out to the restaurant to do a watch party, it is not of the obligation for the restaurant to carry the rest of the weight because it worked one time. It is the job of the alumni association or any other university association to be persistent in continuing these endeavors in order to recruit more fans and encourage them to give/donate to their respected foundations. Not picking up the phone a second time is on the university. It's their promotion.

You are correct. But the alumni association is not going to do an event for a watch party in Abbeville and then another at the very next game at the same place in Abbeville. They need to be moving around to different communities.

Exactly what resources was the university using to help with this watch party? Was it more than an email or a Facebook post? If that’s all it was, there’s no excuse for not doing it again. None.
