Thread: The Future of Cajun Nation

  1. Default The Future of Cajun Nation

Look around this forum and Cajun athletic events, notice something? There is a significant absence of younger fans. Opportunities to engage students and alumni/fans in their 20's and 30's have been missed year over year. So what happens in the coming years? Cajun Nation needs numbers, youthful numbers who can be stakeholders for the foreseeable future.

Maybe we can put up cardboard cutouts and pipe in crowd noise. Forget actually having fans there and organize watch parties at local establishments so everyone can enjoy better food and the ESPN+.

True. Baseball regional. Reasons given were:
    1. Sound system at the Tigue
    2. The heat

Because it’s well known that most people are in to Cajuns baseball for our high fidelity venue and cool temps at home games in May.

One of the Sports bars in Abbeville hosted for the CC Thursday night game. 100+ people showed up for it, so they asked to do it again for the next road game. Univ told them we would get back to you and never sent a return message...lol

Why does the university need to be involved in a watch party? Help publicize it?

I agree here, what is the connection between the university and a public enterprise holding a special event?

Correct and they didn't really know how to organize it.

    Free fan engagement...

The alumni associate set up the first one. It was a success but was too much work to make it a recurring thing
