    Former UL round baller Carter Domingue lead St Joseph’s Seminary to their 2nd consecutive Seminary Championship in Chicago! They beat Convent from Missouri in the finals and Carter lead all scorers with 31 points.

    Well, the vow of poverty thing is dependent on one's family. One priest always had a new car almost every year. Family owned a dealership. Not naming him, nor faulting him. Just the cards he was dealt.

    As with almost every profession, good priests do quite well and are usually taken care of by the congregation.

    The vow of poverty means that the church isn't going to be paying you much.

    ….The Society of Jesus (Jesuits) do take the vow of poverty….they do get excellent care at Grand Cocteau!

    Consolatta in New Iberia has a wing for retired priests. Yes they receive good care, but several were bed ridden. Most have little if any family left. Very humbling to see people who gave so much in such a situation.
