If the guys had executed the time out would have been forgotten. Turned the ball over on an alley oop attempt. Other time outs made sense. Guys were getting sloppy. At times didn’t have great ball handling on the court.
There was one concerning stat. Mike Thomas’ shot clock buzzer beater 3 in the second half, only bench points.
Texas State is flat out bad.
Yes the Bobcats are struggling this season. The Cajuns turned the ball over too much and did not finish at the rim with enough efficiency. However there are a few positives as that is usually the case when you win by 20. The only team that held the Bobcats to fewer points this season is Houston. Cajuns defense and effort on glass was strong all day. You can win a lot of games if you do that consistently as shots don’t fall every game.
I did not realize Themus Fulks had ZERO assists. Part of that is because Bobcats took away his passing angles as he drove which forced him to shoot. He had good body control and used glass well which helped him score over 20. IF the Cajuns continue to play well, game vs Troy here could be one that decides if CAjuns finish in top 4. Notice I capitalized the word IF. Each opponent requires proper preparation and respect.
1st trip to the dome this year. I like the way these guys play. Easy to say because they are winning, I know.
Pretty muted win that was never really in doubt. Crowd was in church mode on a Sunday. You could hear a pin drop at times.
Maybe news of this win streak will create a little buzz. The schedule is really kind coming up. Could rattle off a few more.
ULM won their 3rd conference game in a row today. They beat Arkansas State 85 to 82 in OT. Warhawks were down 16 at one point. ULM banked in a three with a few seconds remaining. Shot was complete luck. Regardless Warhawks playing with confidence now and Cajuns need to be well prepared for Wednesday night.
