The foreign trips are allowed every four years. It was five years in the last interval due to Covid. WBB went on a foreign trip this summer. It is a good question regarding charter trips for MBB vs WBB. If a donor subsidized the MBB trips it probably is OK as response to WBB program would likely be to raise the money like the men did.

Sounds like a Title IX violation.

Men raising their own money and women not doing that is a Title IX violation?

How is it a Title IX violation when men went overseas in the summer of 2022 and women did it in the summer of 2023. If the university paid for charter flights from the general fund for men but not for women, it probably would be a violation. However, I don't think this is happening.

Based on the financial report, we never could afford this, huh? Charter flights or foreign trips

If they found donors to foot the travel bill that money should have been recruited (instead) to lower the deficit.

That donor would nor give it for that.

Correct, not if it was a this or that donation.

But disposable income is disposable income.

We do not have a single donor that has the liquidity to be a sugar daddy for the program. Definitely not one who is willing to float athletics.

I think we have them. But rich people didn't get rich by investing in failing businesses. Would you trust these people with your money?

Between what this board puts out and what is put out by RR, there will never be a chance in the foreseeable future where any trust could be garnered. Since those two venues are about it for public broadcast of information, looks like a bleak future if both continue along the same course.

The 'everything is hunky dory' approach might work.

Not sure about that, however what is happening is certainly not working.
