What about Canaille the Catahoula?
Can you imagine someone going around to all the homes and businesses leading up to homecoming week who have a display and saying you won't get your money back.
To your question if a business asked employees for contributions on the display, I would imagime the display would match the donations.

Man, you guys are really upset by that quote.
Me and several others here and many others on social media have pointed out issues with the name. It’s so very obvious that the name would be a sticking point. There’s never been a truly satisfactory explanation as to why Albineaux had to be *the* name. It’s all been very inflexible, and y’all have created this weird David vs Goliath narrative over something like a mascot even though tons of casual fans, donors, and university officials have either ignored or expressed their indifference/dislike of the concept.
Not to mention, it only got to this point once fundraising began. It’s zero surprise that UL would be annoyed by this whole thing, especially since she respectfully told him no a year ago.
