“The origins of the best spirit leaders in college athletics started organically. They started with the fans.”

In 2025, the Ragin’ Cajuns fans will write their leader’s origin story. Spread the word! 🤟

I might be working so here is mine

What yall think of my back story?

Once upon a time, in the heart of the Louisiana campus, a rare and extraordinary alligator was born. Unlike his brothers and sisters, this alligator had a strikingly unique appearance—his skin was a shimmering shade of white, reflecting the moonlight and earning him the name Albineaux. From a young age, Albineaux was unlike any other gator, not just because of his color, but because of his curious and adventurous spirit.

While other alligators were content with the swamp life, Albineaux yearned for more. He spent his days exploring the bayous, learning about the rich history and culture of Louisiana. His favorite place to visit was the bustling town of Lafayette, where he marveled at the energy and vibrancy of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

One day, while wandering near the university's grounds, Albineaux overheard students discussing the need for a new mascot—one that embodied the spirit of resilience, bravery, and uniqueness. Albineaux knew this was his calling. With courage in his heart, he made his way to the university's president and presented himself as the perfect mascot. The president decided his presents wasnt needed and we did not need a mascot.

The students and fans were in awe of Albineauxs majestic appearance and his passionate spirit. They welcomed him with open arms, and Albineaux quickly became a beloved figure on campus. He led the Ragin' Cajuns to countless victories, inspiring both players and fans with his presence.

Albineauxs story spread far and wide, becoming a symbol of pride and unity for the University of Louisiana. He embodied the values of determination, individuality, and community, reminding everyone that greatness comes in all forms.

And thus, Albineaux the Gator became an iconic and cherished mascot, forever a part of the university's legacy.

    What yall think?

Too Long...people take information in short bites today.

Just my take, never post Albino on FB....its just a parade of idiots and you shouldn't want to give them any leverage.

Ask Russ where the old Ice Gators costume is. Or where it was made. It worked for the Ice Gators. Why reinvent the wheel.

Same reason you wouldn't go buy one of the Florida Gators old costumes. You want one that's unique to Louisiana Ragin Cajuns...not an old costume for another mascot from another entity. Why "reinvent the wheel"? Because
you wouldn't put wooden stagecoach wheels on a Porshe.

Picture didn’t upload in last post.

For marketing purpose right now, his name needs to be Albineaux. I’ve tested this among est my graduate school colleagues. Just trust me right now, this is our best foot moving forward; at least for the time being.
