I am going to the Bourbon and beyond festival in Louisville, KY in September. The line up is incredible and I can't wait to go. Dave Matthews, Tedeschi Trucks, Red Clay Strays, Son Volt, Wallflower, Beck, Matchbox 20, Mt. Joy, Wild Feathers, Lyle Lovett, JJ Gray and the Mofro's, War and Treaty, on and on. Plus special bourbon tasting, craft beer bars, Tiki Bars, my kind of event.

Any of yall into Zach Top? He basically sounds like he was plucked directly off of 90s country radio. Personally I prefer more of the 70s sounds, but he’s still enjoyable. Saw him at the Texas Club in BR a couple nights ago. That place was absolutely packed with college kids. Definitely a huge market nowadays for more traditional country. Curious how much of it will make it to radio.

My son asked me to take him to a Better Than Ezra concert. BTE is ok…relatively vanilla but ok. So the mere fact that a 9 year old was aware enough to ask me that question means I am for sure gonna take him.

Fun fact, Better Than Ezra sat right behind us at the 2009 NFC Championship Game. That was a great day.
