Thread: Music Appreciation

    Default Music Appreciation

I know we've done this thread before, but I think it got deleted or something.

Anyway, lately I've been listening to this fella Cody Johnson, and by doing so I discovered this big ol boy named Jellyroll. Now, I don't dig a lot of his hippity hop stuff, but his soulful voice along with his lyrics flips a switch inside of me that I didn't know was there.
    I enjoy it.

Never thought I’d live to see the day that you’d be listening to jelly roll. Yes people the end is near. Start saying your prayers.

LOL! I also can't stop listening to bluegrass lately. Am I dying?

Not at all. In fact it shows that you are living. Let it jellyroll.

Rewatched "Justified" a while back and started to really dig on bluegrass. Did a little reading on the coal mining industry and some of the music that spawned from that.

Yellowstone also turned my on to that western/southern rock genre beyond the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Whiskey Myers, Ryan Bingham, Blackberry Smoke, Screaming Eagles, and my wife has me listening to some cat named Chris Stapleton.

There is life beyond AC/DC, Metallica, and Pearl Jam.

I posted Iron Horse, a bluegrass cover band doing Led Zeppelin.
