Thread: MBB vs. Troy

  1. Default Re: MBB vs. Troy

Well if Jordan had made his decision before the early signing period Bobby could have gotten a better big man. So it’s Bobby’s fault for trusting Brown to coming back when he was clearly looking for a better option

Does it really take 14 years to create a trend? Sit tight and we will be back in the dance in time.

The UL Athletic Administration would not care if the WBB team lost by 146, or 1046 points. If the ball does not look like this they don't care.

The thing that brought me back to this board is the simple fact that the people here care more about our athletic department than the people who run our athletic department. They pretty much no longer care about anything other than football, and with NIL and the transfer portal we will never be a major football team ever again.Since 1974 we have had ONE football coach with an overall winning record, and SEVEN football coaches with overall losing records.

This year the men's basketball team is 8-8 with wins over several national powers including: Youngstown State, Louisiana Christian, Buffalo, Long Beach State, Loyola of New Orleans, Eastern Kentucky, Rice, and Coastal Carolina. Odds are that at the end of the season they will shout to the few people in the mostly empty Cajundome that the MBB team finished the season with winning record, and the athletic department will tell us how fortunate we are to have Bob Marlin as our coach.

Joe has to step up way more than that every night. He's one of our best players and certainly may be our most important player and we need him to impact the game better than that

You’re an optimist. I don’t see a winning record, and would not be surprised Arkansas State beats the brakes out of UL Saturday night. Hope I’m wrong, but the eye test leans that way. Unless multiple guys are knocking down 3s, it’s a long night.

Your son's MS team could probably beat a Bob Marlin Coached team. Your boys would stick to the game plan and run plays, not play street ball.

IK that’s a joke and wouldn’t happen but:
We actually play organized basketball. We have many plays for every scenario. Inbounds, press, sideline plays. Box 1, box 2, line 1 and 2. High screen, low screen. lol. Been coaching for 4 years and learned a few things. Coached 5th and 6th graders B team, and 7th and 8th graders A team.

You can pick me out the (small) crowd, I’m the one screaming “I can see this s for free in Giroud Park” when the offense forgets the game plan or ignores instructions, if any are given.
