Keep in mind that Augie Tammariello was rebuilding after the "death penalty" seasons of no sports, and Rickey Bustle was rebuilding after the Jerry Baldwin seasons.

In addition to the A&M win in 96, Nelson had some really close losses to some good teams. Like Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, and Auburn. We played Alabama fairly close too at home. He had it going pretty good for a few years.
