Is the Social Club in the room with us right now?

Bob Marlin should have been gone a few years ago. With that said, HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE ANY TIME SOON. Marlin is 64 years old, and he is making over $650K for a winning record that is below 60%. Marlin is here until he chooses to RETIRE.

"He's been a good ambassador," Maggard said. "He runs a clean program, and I know he's well-respected in the industry. So he deserved the opportunity." (March 25, 2022)

"Certainly we want them all to win, but competing for and winning championships is certainly our objective here. And I just think when I looked at the total body of work that Bob has done, he's been a fantastic steward of our basketball program over 12 years." (March 25, 2022)

"In Bob Marlin's new 3yr deal w/UL -- which doesn't take effect until April 2024 -- that runs thru March 2027, the #ragincajuns coach can earn a lot more money in incentives.

$40K for a regular season Conf title, up from $25K
$50K for a Sun Belt Tourney title

He’s so “well respected” in the industry we haven’t had a decent home game since he’s been here. Scheduling is all about relationships and he has none, apparently. But the line he and Murph feed to the Rebounder Club is “they’re scared to play us.”

Sure they are, Bob. Sure they are…

We will find out this Thursday Night how the fans feel about this coaching regime. We are hosting a ranked team for the first time in almost 20 years. If we have anything less than 4,000; that will tell me all I need to know.

JMU this year is the poster child for how to get a good NCAA seed. That road win over a top 5 Big 10 team is impressive. Not losing any OOC games also helps. I am pretty sure that the Michigan State win is good for a two or three seed boost come NCAA time.

What’s wild is their OOC Net is 302, and that’s including their Mich St win.

NCAA website says it it 32, not 302.
