Apparently graduation rates was not an R1 criteria.

One could think low graduation rates are bad, or it could mean our university is hard and doesnt give away grades

Marlin sucks and everyone knows it. Even the people in his circle know it. They are just buddy buddy with him and pay his salary. They’d rather not fire their friend and keep lowering the standard of expectations.

So I take it this is a new thing since we’ve had a decreasing student population for 5-7 years. It’s about time we actually try to grow the undergrad population to 20k.

20000 is the goal. Not sure that’s full time UG and Grad students. If so, that’s a tough reach.
Last two years have been some of our largest classes. Certainly best qualified.

In truth though the student body hasn't kept up with the population.

I think its because the school sells itself only to Lafayette and for many it makes them want to get away.

Ahhhh. Oh now i see. my bad so this isnt about a concern for the academic well being of the individual students and overall reputation of the university, got it.

If the extension was automatic per making big dance, why are you out to prove other reasons wrong?
